Our company, together with the general partner "3D-ЛИТ", offers the full service package for the design and manufacturing of sand-polymer lithium forms and rods with a complex geometry based on the computer simulation data. The process is done by using a 3D printer of our own production, it also involves casting of the parts using various metals.
The technology itself is an evolution of the standard XTS process. It uses the principle of forms production, which is based on the cold-hardening mixtures using the latest advances in the sphere of additive technologies.
Our specialists will develop 3D-model of a part, design casting molds, cores, and a sprue-feeding system. Our specialists will also perform the molding process simulation for you. After reaching an agreement with an orderer, we will produce the casting molds using the 3D printer of our own production and cast the parts.
The initial data for the manufacturing of a 3D model of a mold consists of a casting part's scheme, a 3D model of a casting part and specifications for it. The technical conditions contain castings quality requirements (metal density, surface cleanliness, etc.), dimensional tolerances, test conditions, and inspection requirements for the acceptance of finished castings. The casting mould itself is not a mere negative of the detail that should be cast, but it is a complex engineering object that requires certain skills for its design. Responsible task, which is solved in the development of a casting technology, is the working off the casting construction for determination of its casting manufacturability. The casting construction is considered technological only if it meets the requirements of the foundry and the technical conditions for its manufacturing. The design of the mold is carried out by experienced casting specialists who know the technology of this casting method and the production conditions in which the castings will be provided. In the process of designing a form, the following range of issues is solved:
Determination of the form's walls' thickness. The wall thickness is the most important parameter of the mould that influences the nature of the heat exchange between the melt poured into the mould and the forming casting with the mold's material, it determines its strength and economy.
